CTC Go! is a classroom solution for teaching basics of electronics and programming in highschools. It consists of 8 hands-on projects which the teaching content is designed around and students are encouraged to engage with these projects to promote learn-by-doing methodology. I was involved in almost all the stages of the product development from conceptualisation and prototyping to packaging, content visuals and marketing visuals.
Product Design
During the research and planning phase of the product development, one of the feedback from the teachers was a about the re-usability aspect and creating an environment for students to show their creativity. Therefore, we decided to create a totally new modular assembly system for the project pieces.
Due to the budget and packaging constraints, I worked with flat assembly pieces and generated around 20 unique pieces that can be connected to each other in hundreds of different combinations which can be both used to build the projects that are needed to cover the content of the kit as well as creating their own projects to be able to built up on the concepts that they learn. Tried 8 different materials and 3 different production methods before settling on CNCed ABS.

Final Products
Thanks to the endless connection possibilities that the assembly pieces provide, I created 8 unique projects for the CTC Go!
3D Visuals and Illustrations
As I modelled all the projects and electronic components that are included in this kit, I also worked on creating the content visuals for the CTC Go! The most challenging part of this phase of the product development was to create assembly animations for each included project. As the content of the kit is translated to multiple languages, one of the most important factors for creating the assembly animations was that they had to be done without adding any explanatory text to the steps to eliminate the need for translation.

Art Direction
One of the downsides of this product, which is intended to use in the classrooms, was that we released it right before the pandemic. As most of the schools moved to distance education for 2 years, after the pandemic was over, we had to work on a new re-launch campaign targeting the teachers real real use case scenarios. Therefore. we decided on an in-context photo shooting session. For the latest photo shooting of this product, I took the art director role for the classroom setup and story telling.
